School & Community Occupational Therapy

We provide pediatric occupational therapy in school and community settings to help children develop the skills they need to participate, learn, and feel successful throughout their school day.

Our school-based OT services are individualized to each child and can support children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine motor difficulties, and other skills that impact participation at school.

AREAS WE WORK ON

  • Fine Motor Skills & Handwriting

  • Sensory Processing & Regulation

  • Attention & Classroom Participation

  • Gross Motor Skills & Coordination

  • School Readiness

  • Self-Care & Independence

  • Motor Planning & Coordination

  • Play & Social Participation

We use play-based, functional activities to help children build skills that support classroom participation and everyday school routines. Depending on your child's needs, therapy may address handwriting, cutting, using classroom tools, following routines, managing sensory input, staying engaged in activities, or becoming more independent with self-care.

Providing occupational therapy within the school environment allows us to address challenges where they naturally occur and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals supporting your child.

SoCal Kids Therapy provides school and community-based pediatric occupational therapy throughout South Orange County and surrounding areas. Working with children in their everyday environments allows us to develop practical strategies that support participation and independence where they matter most.
